The Kona Star estate occupies 14 hectares (35 acres) in what is known as the ‘Kona coffee belt’ on the big island of Hawaii. Hawaii is the only U.S. state to produce coffee. The HCA (Hawaiian Coffee Association) certification is important because past abuses in labeling have touted blends with as little as 10% Hawaiian as pure origin coffee.
